Opis apartmana

Today, we present to you the apartment PEPPER, which is located in the old town of Rovinj, and which Matteo's studio adapted and decorated from the ground up. The apartment consists of two floors, and the entire space is dominated by white floors, wooden beams and stone walls, which, wherever possible, have been left in their original finish.

The first floor is an 'open space' dominated by a black fireplace embedded in the surface of the wall. It is designed to follow the unique style of the entire apartment. The hearth is lined with black metal, in which a large brass candlestick is placed. Above the fireplace is an artwork by Grace Jones, which, like everything else in the apartment, is Matteo's handiwork. Near the fireplace there is a white sofa and a rustic wooden box that has taken over the role of a coffee table, and together they represent the living room in the apartment.

On the other side of the space there is a dining room with a kitchen, the wall of which is dominated by black Moroccan tiles. The three kitchen elements are carefully assembled into one surface, and above them there is a massive wooden shelf that is complemented by a series of artistic miniatures on the wall. The dining room consists of a black, baroque table with elegant chairs that are a combination of wood, rattan and fine fabric. A touch of glamor is given to this part of the space by a golden chandelier placed above the table.

Stairs lead to the first floor, that is, to the attic, where the bedroom and bathroom are located. The first thing you will notice is the mural on the wall above the stairs with a jungle motif that gives the space an eclectic touch. The whiteness of the walls and bed is broken by the original Moroccan bedspread that Matteo brought from Marrakesh and the colorful painting on the wall above the bed. There are also black nightstands, or small tables, and striking wall lamps.

The design of the bathroom fits in with the rest of the space, and the emphasis is on black hexagonal tiles with a geometric pattern in the shower. The rest of the bathroom is dominated by white Moroccan tiles. A massive wooden shelf with a sink brings a touch of the Mediterranean into the bathroom, which is Matteo's main inspiration in every interior, so this apartment is dominated by details that Matteo finds and buys on his travels from Greece, Italy, Spain to Morocco.
